For more than a decade of recording songs I just had to sing this 2-CD set, "Encores .... More of the Best of Dwight Townsend." It encompasses sixteen new cuts I did last Spring at Yorktown Digital Works in Dallas, along with some favorites I sent to friends as ersatz Christmas cards over the years. I hope some of my choices will be among favorites of yours as well. Now I turn to the many melodies that have been buzzing around in my head. I will continue to partner with Don Zimmers''s arrangements and Phil York''s magical engineering - not to mention surround myself with artists of the Dallas Symphony and fabulous sidemen who have been making joyous noise with me from the very start - all of which will more than satisfy my creative bent.
