Born Ceita Bobb-Semple & raised in inner-city New Orleans, Louisiana to Guyanese (South American) parents, REC never smoked weed, banged the turf or sold drugs, but he was always connected with those that did. Blessed with a solid upbringing in the home, which served as the basis of moral stability in mixed company, REC always wanted to see his peers live better than they did. Recognizing that preaching at people was never effective, he continued building rapport, learning to understand people''s real needs. The passion to unite and reconnect people''s hearts & minds to purpose and truth was born, hence the name "Reconcile".
While seeking to be a positive influence within the hip hop community, "Chronicles..." provides a breath of fresh air for music lovers worldwide. REC wants to take the listeners on a journey through his life, hoping to inspire personal self-reflection. "This album is really my autobiography set to music. I just wanted to take the people on a ride with me, from before I got to earth, to what I see remaining after I leave. The album''s musical & topical diversity is just a mirror to that of my real life. Hopefully it''ll both challenge & encourage someone else to make a difference in their lifetime."
