Coming from totally different backgrounds and hometowns, Josh Earley, Philip Dean, and Carlos Hernandez met when they were randomly placed into the same dorm at Virginia Commonwealth University 3 years ago. The three started jamming together and writing the early stages of what was to come. After various line-up changes and different directions, the band settled with Josh on vocals and guitar, Carlos on lead, and Phil on bass. They have been playing in Richmond as the current line-up for over a year. Bock''s Car is influenced by bands like Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, Blind Melon, Black Sabbath, Guns N Roses, Bush, DMB, Jimi Hendrix, and Alice in Chains.
