Details:
Chuck Cheesman honed his craft at Chicago''s Old Town School of Folk Music as both student
and teacher for over a decade, then left for the mountains of the American West. The songs on
his previous recording, Campfire (2006), reflect a love for open spaces, and it received
enthusiastic reviews (Sing Out!, https://www.tradebit.com) and generous airplay on college, community,
and public radio across the country.
Imagining Dancers explores parallel themes of love and hope enduring in the face of modern
pressures. Produced by Larry Clyman (Big Shoulders, Sons of the Never Wrong), this record
represents an expansion of Chuck''s sonic playing field. Tracks range from tender, acoustic folk to crunchy americana rock. The all-star cast of musicians includes John Abbey, Karen Banks- Lubicz, Mark Dvorak, Tony Perrino, Armand Ramirez, Rick Rourke, and Sam Zucchini. Chuck''s reading of Michael Smith''s classic song "The
Dutchman" is just one highlight of the album, complimenting the nine original tunes.
