Four years ago on Christmas Eve, I was laying on my couch watching TV. I had the thought that "Hey, I''m a songwriter. I should write a Christmas Song". I promptly fell asleep! I awoke the next day and there was a song going through my head. I got up and wrote down the words, picked up the guitar and started singing the song "Christmas Morn".
I recorded the song the following year and brought it to WATD, a local radio station in Marshfield Mass., where it was played ten times a day on the days leading up to Christmas. It was quite a thrill. Equally exciting is that the song has been downloaded over 145,000 times from 75 different countries since it was originally posted in 2004. Somehow someone got the word out and now it is being enjoyed throughout the world. It''s quite a mystery but I am very glad that people are listening. Special thanks to Juli Ford for her beautiful background harmonies.
