While reading my favorite book, the Bible, I came across Colossians 3:16 which says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” After reading this text it touched me in a special way. I love to sing, but for some reason God was calling me to do something special for the kingdom of God using hymns and spiritual songs. About three months ago, I heard the still small voice of God calling me to do a professional CD recording as a mission project to support Pathway to Peace Ministries. I accepted the challenge and began the current project “Wonderful Peace”, classic hymns that present the message of the salvation of Jesus Christ through song.
God has totally transformed my life through the years. Now my only desire in life is to be saved and to help others also. That is why I chose to sing hymns for this project because I believe many classic hymns are more then a song, they are Bible studies in songs. I also advocate for a healthy lifestyle using God''s principles of good health.
I am a graduate from University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in the field of Physical Therapy. I currently work as a Physical Therapist for the state of NC. I also had an opportunity to attend Oakwood College for my first two years of college and sing with the infamous Aeolians directed by the legendary Alma Blackmon in 1985.
I am happily married. I am blessed to come from a large family of 12 with 6 girls and 6 boys. I love my mom dearly. I was so excited when she Mom was able to attend one of my recent concerts. She says that she plays the CD to go to sleep at night.
I cherish family, worship, health, and Salvation. Peace is what I desire in these times where the world seems to be at unrest. My most precious moments are spending time in nature by waterfalls and contemplating Christ''s soon return. I love to eat home cooked food and sit at the table after prayer and enjoy food and family.
I consider it a blessing to be in good health. In the morning, I have prayer then drink a glass of lemon water and do three cart wheels. I love to touch lives through health and songs. I sing at home, at work, at churches and concerts. I have a song in my heart for my Jesus that yearns to come out and I pray that one day soon my Jesus will say...Well done.
