Acoustic bassist Thomson Kneeland released this album as a follow up to his 2010 release Mazurka for a Modern Man, featuring a mixture of jazz improvisation, Balkan music, tango and other influences.. The first five tracks are unreleased songs from the 2007 Mazurka recording sessions. The last four tracks feature a group from 2001 featuring trumpet, violin, accordion, doublebass, and drums.
