Kings of Side Two (drawn from Gil''s love & knowledge of the - often time - more interesting flip side of the "hit" 45) is the collaborative effort of Gil Bon and Don Fulton. We wanted to create a sound that brought together the influences that we loved and mix them through our creative sense into original songwriting. A nod to what formed us and a voice to what we see. We both grew up with older siblings who brought home Beatles , Stones, Beach Boys, Neil Young, Motown and many other records that filled our ears ("Starts Here" cover art is the symbol to that period). Over the years the influx of Blues, Americana, Soul and Country has added to the mix. We met in 2006 when Gil ran the open mic at Seattle''s EMP. I had just left a band and wanted to play a bit. We immediately hit it off and then just started to write songs and find our voice. "Starts Here" - I feel - really starts to bring together what we were hearing and what we wanted to do. Enjoy.
