Refreshing and eclectic are two of the easiest ways to describe the artist known as JeRome. His music transcends genres, generational gaps, cultures and every other barrier that it’s set before. JeRome’s musical style can be described as music that inspires life, love and liberty. “The goal that I set for every song that I write and/or record is for it to SHOW LOVE and SHARE HOPE”, states JeRome as he attempts to describe his musical style in which he normally leaves up to his listeners and fans to come to a conclusive end about on their own terms. “I just want to make good, life-long music…that’s all'', says JeRome.
JeRome’s main musical inspirations are Gungor Band, PJ Morton, Britt Nicole, Michael Jackson, Beyonce’, Israel Houghton, Bruno Mars, Gary Go. Although this is a diverse listing of artist, one could now get a scope of JeRome’s musical direction. “It’s not Gospel, it’s not POP, it’s not even classified as Inspirational…I call it LIFE music”, adamantly states JeRome, “there’s enough of the other stuff. I want people to hear my music and it affects their inner emotions, soul and entire being and cause them to think, dream, discover, be exposed and LIVE.”
JeRome is the son of a well-known Pastor who pastors a progressive church in Louisiana. Here JeRome has served as worship leader and music director. His musical background started at a very early age. He was singing before he could complete correct grammatical sentences and writing songs while his friends played with their action figures and enjoyed the outdoors.
Over the years JeRome has had an inside look into the music industry being afforded many opportunities to work with some of the music industry greats through various programs, internships and other favorable opportunities. He has participated in various talent competitions such as the popular It''s Showtime at the Apollo and has worked on the movie/entertainment scene. He’s currently a Music Business Major at a university in Louisiana.
JeRome enjoys song writing, leading worship, blogging, social networking, traveling and motivating youth to discover their gifts and to follow their dreams.
