JEANETTE ILLIDGE BIO:
Jeanette Illidge is a singer/songwriter and actress. Ambitious and
intelligent, she holds a BFA in Media and Performing Arts and an MFA in
Media Design. A product of a military childhood Jeanette has said at
times that she can’t say for certain where she is “from” but she happily
considers Savannah, Georgia her hometown.
Recently, Jeanette entered a national singing competition sponsored by
CBS, the Tony Awards, and Macy’s called: “Macy’s Ticket to the Tonys.”
She was selected as the winner and received the opportunity to walk the
red carpet at the 64th annual Tony Awards. She was also recognized on
national television during the broadcast as the winner and can still be
seen on the CBS website. Following on the heels of that success Jeanette
landed a principal role in Tyler Perry’s latest film “For Colored Girls” and
can currently be seen in movie theaters all over the world.
As a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association, Jeanette has performed
professionally in several musicals and plays. With her classical vocal
training and pure talent in hand Jeanette auditioned for The Atlanta
Opera and was selected and cast. Shortly thereafter she toured Europe as
a member of The Atlanta Opera Chorus and is excited to be performing
with them again in February.
A uniquely talented singer and songwriter, Jeanette has been working on
her debut album entitled “Fairytales.” The album explores the ups and
downs of life and relationships and is an eclectic mixture of Pop/R&B with
elements of the classical. Jeanette wrote all of the songs and she also
plays both the flute and the piano on several of the tracks.
The LP’s first single “Love Unconditional” is set for a February release and
Jeanette is ecstatic. It is a beautiful ballad about the rare and precious
unconditional love that can be shared by two people and her flawlessly
powerful delivery of the song is simply breathtaking. Jeanette’s voice has
magnificent range and she sings with the emotion and passion of a star.
Jeanette is multi-talented and smart and she is bringing a breath of fresh
music to the world. She is excited and hopeful that through her music she
can tell relatable stories that will impress, inspire, and encourage people
to simply enjoy life.
