Jilla Webb has come home to her jazz roots and embraced the rich musical legacy left to her by her mother. Performing the original arrangements written for Jilla Webb Sr. as the vocalist with The Harry James Orchestra, the listener is transported to a time gone by through jazz standards now part of what some would call "The Great American Songbook."
“As some of you know, my mom sang with the Harry James Orchestra for many years. As a young girl I got the wonderful opportunity to spend some time on the road with my mom and the band. After my mom left us in 1997, I boxed up many of her things which included all of her original charts and arrangements that she used when she performed with Harry James. This year I have had the opportunity to do my own shows using those amazing charts and arrangements. Some of them have not been heard in quite a while! This has been an amazing project all the way around. I can’t wait to share it all with you.”
