Details:
HATE TO SEE YOU GO (but love to watch you walk away)
Friend Gary Calder gave Butch the line "hate to see you go but love to watch you walk away" and Butch thought, “wow, I''ve got to write a song around that”. Stuart Freeny brought in some great lines and a really nice groove and Butch happened to be in the room. Featured in the movie Killer Tumbleweeds and Rubbernecking.

LIVIN’ WORTHWHILE
A song about old fashion values, the man makes the living while the woman makes the living worthwhile. Featured in the movie Rubbernecking.

SHE NEEDED SO MUCH MORE
A song written with Stuart Freeny after a long discussion about two girls we had been dating. From our 3rd CD called Dirt Roads and Freeways.

PAINKILLER
The lady has a reputation of taking away the pain of a broken heart even if it''s for a little while. Written with Jack Johnson.

YUCATAN MAN
Inspired by our many trips to Cancun and Cozumel. How a person can be in a paradise but still hurting inside when he can’t share it with the one he loves or worse yet, she is in the arms of another. Ouch!

SHARE THE JOY
Friend Mike Turpen shared the line "share the joy and divide the pain" with Butch one day. Butch has always loved the line and loved the concept, cause that''s what friends and partners do.

STICK A FORK IN ME (I’m done)
What southerners say when they are finished with something "stick a fork in me I''m done”. When Butch played a sportscaster shooting a Pepsi commercial with Jeff Gordon. The director David Kellogg (Inspector Gadget) asked Butch to ad-lib a line about Jeff appearing to be out of the race, so he used this one. The line made the final cut and aired in Superbowl XXXII in 1998.

HOLLYWOOD FREEWAY
Inspired by L.A. traffic and those winding roads in the Hollywood Hills. We were amazed how so many people, especially actors live their life surviving and thriving on alternate days. Featured in the movie Rubbernecking.

HOME IS WHERE THE HURT IS
Butch got the line from an episode of "Lois and Clark" that my brother Ben was doing with Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher. And I said self that sounds like a good country song title. Jack Johnson really breathed life into the idea.

OUT OF THE GUTTER
The guy has been down and out, but things have changed.

HOLLY WOULD
A tip of the hat to one of our heroes, Lubbock''s Buddy Holly and inspired by living in LA and seeing the Hollywood sign all the time. Producers Mark Landrith and John Gleason really brought life to the song in the studio.

WORSE THAN ME
We wrote this with actor Rex Linn of CSI: Miami and Gordon Ewing.

SEACHIN’
The first song Butch and Ben ever wrote together driving from one of their concerts in Woodward, Oklahoma back to Oklahoma City where we hosted a TV show for 12 years. A song about how earthly things never last and how everything is fleeting or as Soloman says we are all but dust.

IF I COULD CHANGE THE ALPHABET
Butch always loved "if I could change the alphabet, I would put you and I together" as a pick up line. Butch says he has never used it as a pick up line but it still makes him chuckle.

HARD TO GET RID OF
We have all heard of someone playing hard to get, well this is just a little word play on the phrase.

IF I HAD KNOWN YOU WERE LEAVING
We wrote this about a guy who would have begged his woman to stay if he had known she was really going to leave.

FRIDAY NIGHT BOOGIE
Featured in the movie Rubbernecking.

WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEAVEN
Eliza E. Hewitt/Emily D. Wilson wrote this gospel song. Ben and Butch say "it''s our mom''s favorite".
