Taps is heard at almost all American military and "first responder" memorial services and many other funerals as well. This simple tune grabs the heart like only a few can (Amazing Grace for example.) While almost always played as a bugle call it is here presented on bagpipes for an extremely haunting effect. It is linked with "Rally Round the Flag" which is a tune that was loved by both North and South in the Great Conflict. The combination of the two tunes both acknowleges and honors loss as well as rallys the spirit for yet another stand.
