Michelly Cordova has just completed her latest collection of studio recordings, produced and arranged by Mason Taylorson. A seamless triad of composition’s, featuring Michelly’s undeniably sultry, yet elegant voice. Michelly Cordova’s lust for song and burning desire to sing, is lighting her way as a contemporary Queen of Jazz.
“Love Me, Love Me… Wild is the Wind” is the aptly named three song teaser released by Michelly Cordova on Silly Dilly Records, which puts a spotlight on vintage jazz with a contemporary urban appeal. Michelly’s latest release showcases vintage classics, in addition to an original composition written by Michelly, and keyboardist Vern Waldron, which upon first listen, has the signature of an instant contemporary anthem for the strong yet weary hearted, titled: “Loneliest Night”. Michelly’s voice and unforgettable style breathe endless life into vintage hits including the 1956 Cole Porter anthem “True Love” and 1957’s Dimitri Tiomkin / Ned Washington heart gripping ballad “Wild is the Wind”.
Michelly is currently working with producer Mason Taylorson and video director Christine Zito, to bring her songs into a visual format for her fans, and will be premiering her new music video for “Loneliest Night” in Spring 2011.
Michelly Cordova would like to thank her team that have contributed to her recordings, and the radio station’s and DJ’s that make sure it gets heard.
