Bob Pryor has always written music with a spiritual connection; talking about life’s lessons, relationship issues, and examining the core of each person’s spiritual connection. He has always been interested in creating song themes that are “relevant,” and would make a positive difference in people’s lives. Whether it be to make them more aware of “thinking before they speak,” as outlined in the song “Words,” or making statements on how the human race must “get along and be one,” as demonstrated in the song “Ode to Alleluia”, Bob’s intentions have been to have each song project a specific message to the listener. The title song of this CD, “My Spirit Came Alive” is a typical example of describing through the lyrics, how a person through introspection and refection, can change their entire view of the world as well as themselves. The band SIGNIFICANT OTHERS consists of Bob Pryor, who founded and manages the band, Sarah Pitzer, a vocalist, Bruce Ross, a vocalist who plays guitar and bass, and Tom Parker who provides percussion. Bob also composes and produces most of the music, plays guitar and sings. By full utilization of the skills of each talented member, SIGNIFICANT OTHERS creates a unique, diversified sound with songs ranging from tranquil soothing numbers, to “feet moving, hand clapping” expressions of fun and joy! SIGNIFICANT OTHERS regularly performs at church services and festivals in the greater Houston and surrounding areas, bringing their musical messages to the congregations. Bob’s goal in life which is supported by all the band members is to share this music with the world, and make a positive difference in people’s lives. Thanks to his musical family of Sarah, Bruce, and Tom, Bob’s goal is being realized and the sky is the limit for SIGNIFICANT OTHERS!
