Long-time Northern New England performers Sweet, Hot & Sassy! have delighted fans for years with their very distinctive sound and four recordings. Coming from bluegrass and folk roots, their adventures into swing and western swing were inspiring additions for them. The trio''s acoustic back-up enabled them to shift between genres seamlessly. Although this trio is off and running on other adventures, they occasionally reunite for special concerts. Rich and sultry-voiced Mary Maguire, now with The Mary Maguire Band (https://www.tradebit.com) was Sweet, Hot & Sassy!''s lead alto and guitarist for their twelve years. Her vocal harmony workshops at Grey Fox, Podunk, Joe Val and other festivals are always well attended and enjoyed. Also an instructor at Grey Fox and throughout the northeast, fiddler Ellen Carlson (https://www.tradebit.com) is busy touring with High Range Band and is sought after by many other groups. Ellen''s adept fiddle work spans energetic leads to soothing support of the vocals in all the genres. The lady covering Sweet, Hot & Sassy''s top and bottom ends beautifully is soprano and bassist Valerie Blachly. Her bell-like voice and solid bass regularly grace New Hampshire''s Swing a Cat trio with Liza Constable.
