The Spencer project was conceived 7yrs ago when I Rufus Spencer and Ms Jan Fleming decided we would like to create our own style of music to sing. Our formula, lyrical content had to be meaningful and strong, something that one could associate in their lives. We did not want the music to sound like traditional gospel music but more less a smooth rhythmic flow that would accompany the vocals. To appeal to the youth we added Ed Jackson Jr aka: Prophecy to come in and rap on Soon as. Sticking with the formula for our writing Ed delivered a strong clean message for our youth.
