The poems recorded herein represent many of my more notable live performances on the best spoken word stage in Canada - Capital Slam. I could never have become the artist I am without working with and being exposed to Ottawa’s amazing poets. Thanks to all the members of the Capital Poetry Collective over the years for their support, and to Library and Archives Canada, Universe City Lounge, Velvet Room and Mercury Lounge for being the settings for the live recordings on this project. Special thanks to MudsharkAudio for great sound recording, Nathan Bishop for playing bodhrán on “Boom Clap”, Jill Battson, Alan Neal, Elissa Molino, John Akpata and Nathanaël Larochette for hosting the slams on the CD, Kalkidan Assefa for the beautiful cover art and Julie Paré and Alyssa Ginsburg for photography.
