The guitar on this recording is a Martin 0-28 which was manufactured sometime between 1867 and 1885. It was restored in the early 1990’s by renowned luthier, Kirk Sand of Laguna Beach, CA. The instrument was issued on special loan from the collection of Dr. W. Howard Hoffman for use on this recording. The instrument has been strung with D’Addario J51 Special Recording Strings.
