Heidi’s love for music was evident very early. She has always been a singer! As a young child she enjoyed frequent dinner-time reminders to be quiet so we could all eat and converse. This love of singing translated into a love of musical expression through song-writing and accompanying herself on guitar and piano. She has honed her skills for many years and is ready to burst onto the music scene at full capacity. She also has a great love for people and lets them know she cares, lifting and encouraging through words spoken and written and through her actions.
A song is a story and Heidi is a great storyteller. “He Doesn’t Know” came about because her little sister (about 6 at the time) came home and told us all about her “boyfriend.” When we probed further we discovered that he didn’t even know she liked him and a song was born.
Heidi truly believes that “it is better to love with all our heart and risk the chance of getting hurt than to never let yourself love at all. If you love someone, make sure they know.” This was demonstrated by “Like That” when Heidi courageously sang this song to the boy she wrote it about, letting him know exactly how she felt.
“I Do” was written for the wedding of her good friend Tacy and her new husband Danny. She sang it for them as her gift to them. She has followed suit with other songs that chronicle the courtships of her friends. Now friends often request a special song for their wedding day.
