The album is a over year''s worth of work. I managed to get a solid group of people who are willing to experiment in this strange genre over state borders. It was tons of work. Between hours of composition, getting people together, recording written parts, mastering draft after draft, sending music across state lines, and getting art together, I feel I can invest in this project''s release.
Admittedly, when I proposed this project to a number of colleagues, many of them turned it down due to the challenge of recording, traveling, or sending music through different mediums draft after draft. The original Exorbitance was supposed to feature an additional 4 people... but through the challenge of the project, subsequently dropped midway through production.
What is included is a nice ensemble of live saxophones, guitar, piano, trombone, electric bass, and voice accompanied with heavy keyboard, electronic drumset arrangements featuring some pretty wonderful musicians.
