ON THE INSIDE is a self-esteem anthem for the 21st Century. With its message of kindness and acceptance, these four versions of the song give children of all ages a way to remember to respect one another in spite of their differences.
"On the Inside" is having a powerful impact in schools, children’s hospitals and self-esteem workshops nationwide. The Gilded Lilies, singer-songwriters Jennifer Paskow and Joanna de Seyne, were inspired to write the song after Joanna’s young daughter was struggling with bullying and the ensuing self-esteem issues she faced at school and on the playground. “We wrote the song to encourage young people to look “on the inside” to inspire, love and accept themselves and others,” says Jennifer.
Their mission is to promote the self-esteem of children who are faced with the daily challenge of living in a world that focuses more and more on outer beauty. The song “On the Inside” was written to inspire and encourage children of all ages to look within themselves to find their true value and to encourage them not to judge one another. The "backing track" version of the song is included for singing along in the car or at school sings.
