Zak Zreikat is an accomplished and award winning songwriter and musician whose music has crossed the boundaries of folk, country, classical, gospel and children’s music. Zak started his musical journey as a classical guitarist and became a teacher at the Australian Institute of Music where he specialised in teaching young children. He has performed as a solo artists in pubs and clubs and in many folk and rock bands. His songs have won many awards throughout Australia and his children’s songs have featured on ABC’s Play School. In response to a request from members of the Catholic Church in Australia, Zak put together this CD for children in 2004 and embarked on a series of Follow Me Concerts in schools throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. Zak continues and to perform with the Sweet Monas Choir (an acapela gospel and world music choir), with his band, The Dreamcatchers and as a guitarist for the renowned Celtic fiddle player, Martin Scuffins.
