Details:
Paul Rusmisel is a bass player and producer, as well as the sole member of Analog. ''Rats'' was culled from three years of studio downtime, when Paul wasn''t recording such groups as; The Klaus and Truitt Trust, Bill Tucker and Friends, or his own groups; 90th Meridian, and Cigo. The result is that ''Rats'' full of irony. It is a cacophony, it is minimalistic, it is upfront, it is Ambient. It is very close to an instrumental album, but voices are used instrumentally at times. There is no one instrument that appears on all the tracks. Sounds were attained through traditional and nontraditional methods. It is a big tasty cookie and you want to eat it.

1. Rats - I don''t remember writing this, but I can''t stop listening to it. Like rats crawling in the walls, did you hear that?
2. Love - Originally composed for a friends production of ''Here Lies Henry,'' a one man play by Daniel MacIvor and Daniel Brooks. The song goes along with page thirty seven and thirty eight of the script. The song was supposed to start as a samba and end with "stabbing." Lots of direction was given by the shows director, Savvas Mourtzis. Alex Webb plays drums, and Tim Damos plays lead guitar.
3. Dream - Also composed with the "Henry.." script in mind. Page 16.
4. Staggering - I like this one, simple gritty. Todd Krysiak was a big help throughout, and plays the drums, too.
5. It - This song is about a creature that has already eaten all your neighbors, and it is coming for you next.
6. Typewriter - ... when you''re typing a letter with a sandwich in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other
7. Uniform - No one should have to wear one. The master of this track was lost, so I guess I was done mixing it.
8. Johann - I think of the movie short circuit when I hear this. Johnny 5 was too long of a name.
9. Looking - A tribute to the film "A Clockwork Orange."
10. Seven - Was going to be track seven, but I changed my mind.
11. DN8 - Just blame it on your genes.
12. Self - This somehow became "You can''t go anywhere by yourself," in my other band, Projector. Sounds completely different.
13. Sex - You know.
14. Meltdown - Inevitable.
