Details:
Anita Tisdale is a passionate singer, songwriter and worshipper who escorts people into the presence of God for an intimate encounter with perfect Love and pure Holiness. Her focus is set clearly and solely upon experiencing the majesty of God and expressing exaltation, adoration and devotion to Him. Her worship music is intended for the person who isn’t content with a casual expression of worship but for the one whose heart burns to know Him fully and give Him everything without reservation.

In October 2004, Anita and a group of her friends gathered at a recording studio in Camdenton, Missouri for a special time of worship. With this album, she shares with you her favorite parts from that evening. A large part of this album is spontaneous words that were interwoven with previously written songs. You can hear stillness at places in the music as they waited for the Holy Spirit for direction.

Everyone present that evening mingled their prayers and declarations from the Word of God as the musicians created new melodies and sounds. Each piece was an important contribution. The places His Spirit led us had so much unity, life, joy and revelation in them! You are invited along on this spiritual journey of exploration and adoration. Feel free to add in your part as you listen and participate.

Song Stories

Have you Seen the One?
Join me in crying out to experience a fresh encounter with God. I often start a time of worship with a surge of energy and a child-like confidence in His promise to meet with me whenever I call (Jer. 29:13). As worshippers, we imitate the faithful ones in the story of the 10 virgins (Matt. 25:1-13), and the bride of Song of Solomon, who showed her great zeal to find Him as she faced her fears and persecution from others (Song 3:1-3). Observers wonder why she is so passionate, and her song in response is one of the greatest descriptions of Jesus’ Beauty (Songs 5:10-16). Spontaneous songs and prayers came into our hearts as we pondered this passage of Scripture.

Trisagion
This word means “three times holy”. It is the name some theologians have given to the primary song that is sung around the Throne of God. His Holiness is more than complete Purity. The word also describes how He is unique and infinitely superior to every other thing or person. There is an incomprehensible gap between the Creator and every other created thing. All aspects of His Person are limitless. This ancient song is sung forever without interruption to the Father (Rev. 4:8) and to Jesus (Is. 6:3; John 12:41).

Such Beauty
This spontaneous song came after a time of singing the Word in Rev. 1:12-16 where Jesus Christ is revealed in His Glorious, Resurrected Body. After pondering this description of Jesus, this short song exploded in my heart.

Lion and the Lamb
Jesus Christ is the only One who is both God and Man. Forever, He is unique in both heaven and earth. In 1735, Jonathan Edwards had an insight into the Lion and the Lamb described in Rev. 5:5-6, and he called it the “admirable conjunction of diverse excellencies in Jesus Christ” in a sermon title “The Excellency of Christ”. Edwards said in Jesus Christ alone you find infinite highness and infinite condescension; infinite justice and infinite grace; infinite glory and lowest humility; infinite majesty and transcendent meekness. As I pondered his thoughts while the musicians were playing, this song was born. It is incomprehensible that the Supreme Son of God would allow Himself to be compared to a lamb! He dressed Himself in such weakness and frailty to identify with us. Worship overwhelms my heart when I see the Great King of kings bowing lower than I can ever imagine in humility and becoming a man.

The Lord My Righteousness
By declaring the Lord’s Name (Jer. 23:6), we ask Him in faith to give us His Righteousness in place of our filthy rags of sin. Gratitude erupts in our hearts as we realize that Jesus Christ instantly purifies us of all our sin (Col. 1:21-22). His Beauty is revealed to us as we realize how He views us, not as wicked sinners, but as saints without a single fault (Eph. 5:25-27). The terrible pain of His sacrifice to make us holy is unimaginable, yet it is our Glory and the reason for our rejoicing. The Lamb was slain that we might live! His Blood is powerful enough to cleanse the sins of the entire world.

Psalm 40
Near the end of the evening, I was encouraged to open the Word and just sing from Psalm 40. The song that followed was a celebration of how completely He rescues us. Oh, how I love to be with this One who gave everything so that we could be saved, healed and delivered forever. What other response can there be than gratitude, complete trust and abandonment to the Lover of Our Souls!

Trustworthy Son
The loyalty of Jesus’ relationship with His Father inspires me. How they honor each other and share the same motivation in everything they do. Jesus is passionate for the Father’s Name to be exalted in all the earth. We have been invited as a partner into their incredible relationship (John 17:11, 21). It’s a miracle that we too are called sons of God (Rom. 8:14-17); therefore we will spread His fame throughout the earth.

O Father
We finished with this cry for heaven’s realities to come to earth (Matt. 6:9-10). We want every spiritual blessing the Father has already prepared for those who dare to ask. We’re not going to stop asking until His Rule and Reign are evident in all aspects of our lives, including terminal diseases healed, relationships restored, captives set free, dead raised and prodigals coming home.
