Apartment 28 is a five-piece, high-energy Los Angeles pop-rock band. Formed by songwriting duo Jay Iorio and Jeff Torin, the band''s songs and sound reflect diverse influences and genres.
Jeff, who has been on stage (and camera) for most of his life, is the band''s dynamic lead singer. Jay, the band''s producer and multi-instrumentalist, plays acoustic and electric guitars on stage, and he and Jeff create the vocal harmony that is probably the most instantly recognizable aspect of the band''s sound.
Drummer Steve Hawryluk, who has backed up everything from big bands to punk bands to circus jugglers, propels Apartment 28 with power and subtlety. Bass wizard Michael John Adams, who has traveled around the world with various acts, glues everything together and lays down the Apartment 28 groove.
Rounding out the band is the cello, which has been a part of Apartment 28''s sound from the beginning and adds another distinctive element to the band''s music. A variety of talented cellists have accompanied the band on stage.
Apartment 28 regularly performs in Los Angeles at top venues, including Molly Malone''s, The Mint, and numerous appearances at the Viper Room.
