Happy Holidays to all my Friends, old and new!
Several years ago, I had a song idea about Santa being on vacation after working so hard at Christmastime. The title Santa''s On Holiday came to mind, but with only the title and a few words written, it stayed in my lyric file for a long https://www.tradebit.comn about a year ago, the song started to work it''s way back into my writing schedule, and I spent about 6 weeks on the music and lyrics until I felt the tune was just right. When I started performing the song in local clubs during the holidays, people loved it, asking where they could get their own copy. Over the summer I did a simple demo of the tune and in October I decided to go in the studio and do my own fully produced version of the song. With the help of many musician friends, Apple Studios (tracking) and Markosa Studios (tracking and mastering), the song was finally completed.
I have had a wonderful time recording this song. It has truly been a labor of love, especially so, since my 21 year old daughter, Hannah, is featured on backing vocals throughout. I am a very proud papa! I was blessed and inspired to write this song and dedicate it to my wife, Cindy, family and friends. (And to my wonderful music teacher, Audrey Mohn, who never got to hear this song, I know you are hearing it now and smiling from up above.) God Bless.
