As you listen you will hear a woman who was born to sing. Her talent was evident at an early age when her father coaxed her into singing for friends and relatives, however, her first ''official solo'' was in her Junior High Youth Choir at church. She continued to shine as a singer and went on to pursue her passion and her talent at Louisiana College, a private Baptist college, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music.
Delinda is versatile in her style and is able to move easily from Classical to Broadway and from Standards to Country. Her classically trained voice, has given her the opportunity to perform some of her favorite roles in operas, such as the Queen Mother in ‘The Magic Flute’ and ‘Madame Butterfly’. Delinda has traveled the world performing and connecting personally with her audiences. Recently, Delinda Layne was a featured artist at the Missouri Gospel Announcers Guild showcase in St. Louis, MO., where she wowed the audience with a preview of her latest music.
