Dirty Water Infantry is a Boston-based band co-founded by Tim McAvoy of Medfield, MA and Chris Corsi of Norfolk, MA. DWI’s first album, DIRTY WATER INFANTRY (self-titled), consists of 8 tracks written and sung by Tim McAvoy and completed with production, mastering, and additional instruments by drummer Chris Corsi (C-BĀCE Audio Productions). This is our true intro into the music world and we’re excited to have five musical friends of ours also contribute their talents to this diverse project. It features 8 tracks and touches upon a mix of rock-ska-pop-funk. Two of the songs, Believe and Good Times, are being released as remixes on this project (an original band version of these songs will be released on a future project). We are excited to complete this self-sufficient project with our friends, from the confines of a basement. If you’re expecting a specific type of genre from us, you may be disappointed. If your open to all kinds of music, we think you''ll like it.
‘Dirty Water’ refers to the Charles River in Massachusetts. The name chosen to represent the fact that Chris and Tim live on either side of the Charles River, in Norfolk and Medfield, MA respectively. And because we love the city at the other end, Boston. From talented people that we jam with on stage or in the studio, to the fans and friends that fill a room with us, we consider everyone sharing in that moment to be part of the ‘infantry’
