Michael Davidson is the trombone professor at the University of Kansas and principal trombonist of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, the South Arkansas Symphony, and trombonist with the Kansas Brass Quintet, the I-49 Brass Quintet, and the LATEX Trombone Quartet. He has performed with the Kansas City Symphony, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra USA, and in local performances with the Four Tops, Ray Charles, Johnny Mathis, Kathy Mattea, Emmylou Harris, Mel Tormé, Sandi Patty, John Tesh, and many others. Mike was solo trombonist of Kansas City''s own Fountain City Brass Band when they won the 2007 North American Brass Band Association and United States Open championships. He served on the faculty of the Asia Trombone Seminar 2009, held at Shih-Chien University, Tapei, Taiwan. He writes literature and recording reviews for the International Trombone Association and National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors journals and serves on the ITA Advisory Council on Literature. A former public school band director, Mike was twice selected for inclusion in Who''s Who Among America''s Teachers and elected to membership in the American School Band Directors Association. He earned a https://www.tradebit.com. degree from the University of Florida, an https://www.tradebit.com. from Centenary College of Louisiana, and a D.M.A. in trombone performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Ellen Bottorff is the director of Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music at the University of Kansas and highly sought-after as a collaborative artist in the professional community. She has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada, performing on live radio broadcasts, regional and national conventions, competitions, recital series, and cruise ships. She is a founding member of Allégresse, and can be heard on their debut CD. In addition, Ellen can
be heard on several other professional recordings, including Stepping Stones and Just for Fun with euphoniumist Pat Stuckemeyer; Stepping Stones for Tuba with Scott Watson, Rare Breeds and Dog-Eared Classics, with the Kansas Brass Quintet; and Arrows of Time, with trombonist David Vining. In addition to recordings, Ellen performed the music of Brian Kip Haaheim on the soundtrack to the movie, Fall From Grace. Ms. Bottorff was on the keyboard and voice faculty at Missouri Western University from 1994-2004, with her students receiving high honors in state and regional competitions. As well, she has taught at the Institute for Young Musicians, Midwestern Music Camp, and Sound Encounters Suzuki Strings camp. In addition, Ellen coaches chamber music at the Brian Lewis Young Artist summer symposium. She collaborates with members of the KU music faculty on recitals and concert tours. She holds degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and Missouri Western University.
