Starting around 2009, the members of Bonsai Nation first picked up their instruments and started playing the dumps of downtown San Antonio, Texas. After a few years of playing around central Texas they started to get serious and transformed their music into a unique reggae punk rock sound and began working on their first album. Creating their own studio, they worked hard on not only writing and performing but the art of recording as well. By the end of 2010 their debut album was finished, everything being done just about as DIY as it gets. Bonsai Nation continues to play many shows around Texas and is slowly gaining a strong following.
