The Wyatts birth a new original Christmas song in Tucson, Arizona
"It''s the week before Halloween and all through the studio, The Wyatts are cutting new songs, to send to the radio..." It’s strange how things happen.
As production moved forward on The Wyatts upcoming sophomore release, The Continuing Saga of The Wyatts, Volume I, producer Craig Schumacher and Roscoe Wyatt got to talking at the end of a long session. "Ya know" said Roscoe, "I have a Christmas song I''d like ya to hear". So Roscoe plugged his iPod into the mixing board and Craig''s eyes lit up. "Right now, the ONLY priority for The Wyatts is to get this song tracked and out to the radio in time for the holidays", said Craig. So began the journey.
And so like EVERY other Christmas miracle, the birth of Merry Christmas Darlin'' came to be a reality. Recording started within two days of that first listen. Wavelab Studio in Tucson, Arizona became the cradle of this holiday song and production revved into a feverish pace. Fate appeared as Nashville royalty Chris Scruggs (https://www.tradebit.com) just happened to fly into Tucson a couple of days early to work on his current recording project with Wavelab Studio & Craig Schumacher.
Craig then asks Chris if he wouldn’t mind sitting in laying down some upright bass, and lap steel guitar. What Scruggs played was pure Christmas magic! Listen closely to the "chimey bells" and swells he creates on the lap steel, pure and honest perfection. Then, The Wyatts were able to get fellow Tucsonan, Nick Luca (https://www.tradebit.com), to come down and add some extra guitars and piano, heartfelt magic again!
The result of this spontaneous Christmas Miracle is what you now have before you now. The Wyatts strike again with their vision of combining the honesty of country music''s past with pop infused sounds of the present.
