Modern rock

7 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Hard Rock

Details:
If there is one word to describe Todd Davey, John Fisher, Guy Bechter, and Ivan Konic of World Gone Mad, it is this- Dedicated.
When Davey initially approached lifelong friend, John Fisher, about forming a band in late 1997, Davey immediately outlined his requirements; simply an absence of the hard drugs and lack of professionalism he had been exposed to throughout his years in the industry. Fisher agreed and after an exhaustive search, accomplished bassist, Guy Bechter joined the fray.
Within a year the newly born, World Gone Mad was already headlining most venues in Northeast Ohio, experimenting with and honing their classic and accessible brand of modern rock at clubs throughout the region.
Soon the band released their first four-song EP Means to an End. The singles "Man" and "Fly"
Quickly found spots on 88.9 WSTB''s top ten most requested songs, with "Man" reigning at number two for eleven weeks.
Track four "Weeping Mary" was licensed to WUPN''s 7 days and the band got their first taste of real money in the business, also making Davey a published member of ASCAP.
The following year the band finished second out of over 140 bands in a competition hosted by Mountaineer Resort and Casino. The band then went on to tour New York, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan throughout the remainder of the summer.
Encouraged by their growing fan base, World Gone Mad made the decision to return to the studio the following fall. The resulting four song EP, titled American Obsession, sold out almost immediately at gigs and local record stores. Meanwhile both "Smile" and "In Me" charted well on 88.9 WSTB, and landed permanent slots on the station''s rotation.
By the next winter, having sold over 2,000 CDs in their target area, World Gone Mad returned to the studio to record another demo of newly written material. This disk stayed underground and several hundred copies circulate amongst hardcore fans.
After a litany of drummers, World Gone Mad finally located their missing piece in Ivan Konic. Revitalized by the newfound synergy, the band spent the next 50 out of 52 weeks performing regionally, perfecting their live sound and internal chemistry, before once again putting themselves in the capable hands of producer Mike Farona (sometimes referred to as their fifth member). All for Nothing was the resulting disk birthed in early 2005. With the albums release came a slew of promotion including radio interviews, live simulcast performances and even an unplugged radio special. This resulted in a renewed dedication to assembling a professional management team and image for World Gone Mad.
Currently, the band is playing live, successfully promoting their album to college and commercial radio, as well as increasing their visibility. All the while building their fan base, writing new material, and recording.
