"I Can Open My Eyes," Ari Scott''s new 3-song EP, marks a significant direction change for this New York City-based singer/songwriter/pianist. After performing as a solo "quirky pop" singer/pianist for several years in many NYC venues, Ari recently collaborated with musician and producer Rob Arthur (Five For Fighting, Keri Noble, Joan Osborne) as well as executive producer Chris Cofoni from EMI/Blue Note/Manhattan Records to create this sampling. The songs on this EP are much more than the simply-arranged piano gems Ari has been playing for years. They are powerful, colorful, lush, and Ari can now easily fit alongside modern rock radio artists. It''s only a taste of what''s to come.
