My influences range from the meditative sound of Elbow, Laura Marling, Explosions In The Sky and Sigur Rós to post hardcore-punk artists like Enter Shikari and Bloc Party.
A song starts from maybe a chord change or a response to an emotional event, then I mess around on the fret-board and try to work out what feelings and sounds I can create as a answer through the strings. I take my inspiration from everything inside and outside of the valley I live in, this is everything as in things I have experienced and things I would like to experience; philosophy, science or just ones of love and relationships...
I not only want to bring a sound, but also maybe a few ideas of my own into the world. When I create songs, I have a sense of wonder and understanding of things through the medium I love.
