Growing up with Grandma-sponsored piano lessons was the starting point for Joy Nelson''s musical adventure. It has been a billowing wind of a journey; sometimes more of breeze and others times a gale. She has played shows at grand and not so grand venues in Oregon and is continually looking to share her music with those who will lend an ear. She is most inspired by her experiences interacting with others and the interesting facets of human relations to each other and their surroundings. Her debut album "Cottonwood" is a collection of songs written over the last few years describing a human existence in the fluctuating nature of being a part of this earth.
