Details:
Jimmy grew up in the small town of Canton, TX, listening to artists like Steve Earle, Mike Ness of Social Distortion, and Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde. He didn’t experiment with actually writing music until around the age of 18.
“A friend sold me a cheap guitar and amp for $100 and I was out of high school and beginning to break away from home.”
Since then, he has developed his talent and been able to perform in various locations around east Texas and record a CD. His music is best described as Progressive Americana, with roots tying into country, rock, and folk.
Overall, he has a style all his own which is as random as the influences he was essentially motivated by. Jimmy currently has an EP available and hopes to broaden his fan base by performing in different places like the DFW area, Austin, Houston, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. He also hopes to continue recording and making great music with the support of his fans. ~K. Vincent
