JARRION was born in the city of Utrecht, the Netherlands. His early passion for music came mainly from his family, particularly his father who was a member of a Surinam band, his country of origin. This passion developed into an interest among JARRION and his friends to pursue careers as vocalists.
As he embarked upon the music industry, Jarrion, like many young aspiring artists, was immediately inspired by some music greats such as Michael Jackson, Usher and Ginuwine.
At the tender age of seventeen, he and his friends formed their first boy band, a group called Men Of Honor. In this "Boys II Men"-inspired group, JARRION grew quickly as a lead vocalist. Their main style of music was primarily R&B group. Men of Honor produced their own music, wrote their own lyrics and performed in numerous festivals and music venues throughout Europe.
In 2006, Jarrion decided to make an early career move and relocate to Rotterdam in order to pursue a solo career and explore the music scene there. Through associations with various artists and producers in his new surroundings, JARRION received numerous invitations to different studios throughout the Netherlands. His smooth sounds and seductive lyrics were appealing to many and demonstrated his great potential. Simultaneously, Jarrion was learning about the industry as a whole, including the writing and production aspects.
After recording a couple of self-written R&B songs, he encountered a new genre of music, ZOUK, and was immediately fascinated. JARRION made the decision to explore his new interest in Zouk and sought out a team of well-known producers of Capeverdean and Zouk music, M&N Pro. In 2010, his first single, ''''New Love'''' surfaced. Produced by M&N Pro and written by Jarrion himself, the track featured another well-known Cape Verdean and Zouk artist, Nilton Ramalho, former lead vocalist of the Cape Verdean boy-band, Quatro Plus.
Fresh with new ideas and a growing interest in Zouk music, Jarrion was inspired to work on his premier solo album. In February 2011, he signed his first record deal with the American label, ISIS Records. Jarrion''s debut solo album entitled "Passion," mainly produced by M&N Pro and displaying Jarrion''s skills as a writer, will be launched in June 2011 and distributed worldwide. With its new flavor known as R&Zouk, "Passion" is one of the most anticipated albums in the Zouk market in 2011.
