Well Done is our second EP, the first being Blue Rare. Recorded by Kalan from the band Zero Cool by his emerging record lable Loo Corez Records. Kalan appears sporadically throughout the record offering backing vocals. Our first EP was recorde by Kalan at Loo Corez Records as well.
Before I go further into production notes I will specify who is who.

TOUGH GUY - written and sung by Terjn Walski this is the first song that Terjn does lead vocals on. After the tracks for Well Done were finished we decided to use this as the title track, it has a such an epic sound. this song is about a guy that has self entitlement issues. The type of guy that thinks the world owes him. The lyrics suggest the real work involved with earning respect.
MY CAR / I HATE THE BUS - Written by Mike Turnbull and Matt Cunningham - sung by Mike. These 2 tracks are always played together live and actually up until we pressed the album they were thought of as 1 song. Kalan suggested we separate them as they can stand alone and we agreed. The car is referencing Matts car that he actually bought off of Kajiji. Matt and I (Mike) penned the lyrics in an afternoon after finishing the musical structure. We had a great time writing it stopping several times to laugh. I Hate the Bus was an afterthought, we weren''t even to sure that it would be a real song but it came together quickly and is actually one of our most recognized songs. I Hate the Bus is about the overpriced local transit in our cold oil hungry city Edmonton. We believe every word in the song. The song was used on the website The Edmontonian during elections by our friend Sally. It plays in the background while a guy discusses the election and public transportation.
FATTY - Written and sung by Mike Turnbull. Lyrically this song teeters between political and tongue and cheek. The lyrics were never finalized until it was considered for the EP. After several attempts at different perspectives I finally had an idea. I thought what if instead of fat people being ashamed of themselves they were proud to be so fat? After that thought rooted I started thinking that the devotion to food and the freedom create an ironic situation.
REAL FRIENDS - Written and sung by Mike Turnbull and Terjn Walski. This song was written right before the band started. Terjn worked on the musical arrangements and I penned most of the lyrics. We both felt that this song had immense potential and it took a lot of work to bring it together. This happens a lot when you create a song without all band members present, it goes through revisions. Lyrically the song is about the blessings that real friends bring and about the pitfalls of arrogance. The song also deals with uncertainty with everyday life and how real friends help us deal.
BLACK & WHITE - Written and sung by Mike Turnbull. This song was written on an acoustic guitar before the band was formed. It to went through some minor revisions, mainly just picking up the pace. The song is about religious narrow mindedness. We pay homage to Michael Jackson sometimes when we play live by covering the first portion of Jacksons song Black or White. I think this was our way of having fun with a serious type song. We do a horrible version of Black and White by the way.
