Her style is hard to pin down, but her work has been compared at times to Ani DeFranco, Fiona Apple, Sneaker Pimps, and Grouper. Her cleverly woven lyrics focus on a combination of science-fiction-horror and real-life social commentary, and the accompanying instrumental music ranges from psychedelic rocknroll to ambient a cappella electronica, with hints of trip hop, jazz, folk, and R&B.
