Mark Krurnowski’s instrumental music has been included in programming on ABC-TV, ABC Family, The Weather Channel, The Bravo Network (Emmy award winning series, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List), The Discovery Channel, The Travel Channel, Outdoor Channel, Versus Sports Network, The Oxygen Channel, The Science Channel, WTBS and XM & Sirius satellite radio. In April 2006, Mark started a great relationship with the Weather Channel and has since had over 8,000 plays on the network. A compilation of featured Weather Channel artists was released and included his tune “Wait a Minute”. In December 2007, the CD peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Charts! In April 2009, Mark composed the music for “Believe In Me”, a song which appeared in the film “What Goes UP” starring Hilary Duff, Steve Coogan and Molly Shannon. The tune includes Cave Wilson on drums and Ken Kaufman on piano. Mark’s debut instrumental release “Suspended in Mid-Air” is available at CD Baby, and can be downloaded at https://www.tradebit.com. Mark’s music has also been used internationally in television programming in Australia, Mexico, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Chile and Canada.
Mark’s collaboration with Mediatone Music Inc. formerly based in Carrolton TX, was a fantastic experience. He wrote/produced five full-length CDs for the library. The instrumental styles include surf, acoustic, hard edged rockabilly, pop and transitional guitar elements.
Currently, he’s busy performing with his band of brothers, the Filter Kings, a bluesabilly surf trio based in Western New York, which features Cave Wilson on drums and Brian Burd on bass. The band has had the opportunity to perform with such artists as Peter Frampton, Blues Traveler, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, James Cotton, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Blue Oyster Cult, Rik Emmett, Omar & the Howlers, Marcia Ball, Sass Jordan, Kim Mitchell and April Wine. Mark also performs with Side-Car, an instrumental trio featuring Tim Mroz on bass and Cave Wilson on drums/percussion
