After meeting Dave Stewart in LA and having the opportunity to talk to him about how Dave and Annie Lennox recorded the Sweet Dreams album on an 8 track reel to reel themselves in a warehouse, Dave encouraged me to set up my own studio and write record and produce my own music myself. This led to my certificate in recording engineering, and a new studio with up to 32 tracks of instruments and vocals on each song. Zink was classically trained as a pianist and studied voice but restricted by the traditional restraints of traditional music school academia, he switched to Video Art at the San Francisco Art Institute, and began writting his own music on his first home studio after advice from Dave Stewart on the best way to start.
