Biography: Lisa-Marie Fischer
Lisa-Marie Fischer (19) is born and raised in an idyllic small town named Marburg, Hessen, and attends High School there.
Her passion for music awakens early during her childhood. In 2007, she makes a long desired wish of hers come true when she goes to Cologne to record a cover song in a rented sound studio. At the studio, she is told that it would be best for her musical development if she starts playing an instrument.
By the end of 2007, she starts taking guitar lessons. At the age of 16, Lisa-Marie travels with her parents to Miami, Florida to enter a ship for a musical cruise called “Cayamo Cruise-A Journey Though Song” on which well-known artists from the American singer/songwriter and country music scene perform, among them EmmyLou Harris, John Hiatt, Lyle Lovett and Shawn Colvin. For Lisa-Marie, this cruise is one of her most important journeys and she considers it to be a life-changing experience.
Meeting a lot of bands and musicians like Ryan Bingham, Brandi Carlile or Holly Williams arouses her interest in writing her own songs as well.
Lisa-Marie is treated with the amazing experience of the cruise and the confidence she gains from it in her first self-written song called “Two Hearts” which is composed in the middle of 2009. This song is also the opening title of her first album called “From The Heart.”
Meanwhile, Lisa-Marie becomes completely dedicated to music and writes and composes her own songs, which can be attributed to the singer-/ songwriter tradition. Lisa-Marie performs her songs on stage with the guitar and a harmonica. Her repertoire includes emotional ballads, which are never cheesy, as well as quick folk songs.
Her extraordinary voice and her talent to write songs don’t stay undiscovered for a long time: Since July 2010, Lisa-Marie Fischer is supported and brought forward in the buildup of her career by the promotion company Stevja Promotions from Marburg and by the Powerplay Studios located in Switzerland. Stevja Promotions and the Powerplay Studios are sure to have discovered in Lisa-Marie Fischer an artist who soon will be known and be successful outside the borders of Germany as well.
Invitations to the festival “Townes van Zandt Tribute Italy 2010” in Figino Serenza, Italy on October 30th 2010, to the Sony Country Music Meeting in Berlin, Germany on February 4th, 2011, as well as to her first performance in the United States on March 12th, 2011 in Burlington, New Jersey, seem to proof Stevja Promotions and Powerplay Studios right.
In February 2011, Lisa-Marie Fischer is going to record her first studio CD at the legendary Powerplay Studios where stars like Lady Gaga, Chris de Burgh, Clanned or Reto Burell have recorded studio albums before. The CD is going to be released on March 26th.
Afterwards, she is going to go on a tour with the Bowmans (New York), The Amida Bourbon Project (Burlington, Vermont), Janet Martin Band (Virginia), Joshua Panda Band (Burlington, Vermont), the guitarist / singer-/songwriter Lowell Thompson (Burlington, Vermont) and finally Kelly Ravin, another great guitarist / singer-/songwriter from Vermont. One highlight of the year will be surely her first US tour in July/August of 2011. She is going to perform at famous festivals like the “Songs At Mirror Lake” festival at Lake Placid.
