The Lawrence County Brass is celebrating 25 years as it continues to perform with its original members. The group consists of: Jesse Croach, Chris Masi and Michael Mazzocco - Trumpets; Henry Krupa - French Horn; Thomas Schaffner - Trombone; Kevin Rorabaugh - Euphonium; Gary Taylor - Tuba; and Kenneth Stewart - Drums. The group was establish in 1985 when seven area music educators began performing at nursing homes during the summer and at Christmas time. In 2009 a drummer was added. This has enhanced their music by better capturing the original style of many compositions. Some of their many performances include: weddings, church services, festivals, patriotic functions, outdoor concerts, parties, banquets, and nursing homes. They also take great pride in promoting music education by performing school assemblies every year.
