Divine Purpose a.k.a. Disorganized Religion, a ministry that spreads the Word of God through music, was birthed in the fall of 2008. It currently consists of a nine piece band with seven vocalists and is led by producer/song writer Tomorris Ellis. This ministry is centered on the belief in the importance of a truly genuine relationship with Jesus Christ over "religion".
Most people''s initial question is: why say disorganized religion? In order to answer that one would have to understand what "religion" is all about. "Religion" says we act a certain way or do a certain thing simply because it''s the way it''s always been done or "tradition". "Relationship" says we do what we do because we truely love God and flow in the move of the Holy Spirit. Even Jesus taught against having a "religious attitude" when speaking with the Pharisees. We seek to shake-up religious thinking and go after this generation of young people who are turning from the church because all they see are traditional mindsets. We show them that worship is a personal expression of love and adoration towards God through our actions and not just our words.
