From the mainstream sea of same-old bands emerges 2nd HALF, a positively charged melodic pop rock two-piece out of Cleveland, Ohio. After growing up playing in bands with members of former ROADRUNNER RECORDS artist ''CHIMAIRA'', 2nd HALF began in 1997 to head down a different musical road than their former band mates. Now, having over nine years experience with each other and having gone through several lineup iterations, 2nd HALF has found dedication in a two-piece that brings a new sound to the music scene of today.
2nd HALF has built a solid foundation with strong presence in Cleveland''s local music scene. Their live stage show has been quoted as Cleveland''s ''best local show'' and continually receives ''amazing'' reviews from the crowd. During live performances, 2nd HALF connects with their audience in a new dimension of visual sound. They reveal the true meaning of their music on stage through well-choreographed video projections that provide visual interpretations of their songs as they are played live. This unique aspect of 2nd HALF''s live show continues to draw steady crowds and has opened for national acts such as 311, The Hexum Brothers, Local H, the Dirty Americans, and Jimmy''s Chicken Shack.
The bands full-length release entitled "NOW IT''S REAL" was produced by Ben Schigel (Drowning Pool, Chimaira). Their signature song, "Look The Other Way", is featured on compilation CD''s sponsored by A&R Worldwide and Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer and has received spins on WMMS 100.7 FM, WEND 106.5 FM, K-ROCK 92.3 FM, KTCL 99.3 FM, KKBS 99.7 FM, WZIP 88.1 FM, WBWC 88.3 FM, WSTB 88.9 FM, WJCU 88.7 FM, as well as several other commercial and Internet radio stations around the world. As with "Look The Other Way", 2nd HALF''s catchy lyrical hooks makes every song on the CD a potential radio hit.
2nd HALF strives to create music that is enjoyable not only to themselves, but to a wide variety of listeners.
