His latest CD "It''s No Act" contains eleven original songs and features several guest musicians.
It''s No Act
Ten years in the making.
Three months in recording.
One month in manufacturing.
I''m very proud to have this new recording to help usher in another level of shameless self-promotion.
Recorded here in Jo Ann-land Studio, we have once again distilled a somewhat technical process into a homemade product.
Thanks to my extended family of friends, we were able to record, mix and master this collection of songs.
The album title came from a conversation I had at an art show.
An art show participant invited me to the party after the show.
He said, " You can come and do your act"
I responded, "It''s No Act".
Another conversation somewhere else, I was bemoaning the fact that many of my friends sing and play so well.
This person said, "But you can play the guitar and the harp and sing all at the same time".
I responded," Oh yeah, I''m a real dog and pony show".
So that''s what we''ve got, a real dog and pony show, that''s no act.
I built a stoneware kiln and established Cowpalace Pottery on my grandparent''s retired dairy farm in Darlington Heights, Va. My interest has been to create and sell pottery and play music. My pottery work is made up of mostly functional pieces to be used to enhance the experience of daily life.
Making pottery creates a rewarding balance to traveling and playing music in public. I have settled into a lifestyle that allows me to enjoy the rewards of both.
I would like to thank everyone for their continued support."- Tray Eppes
