A well-followed favorite of New York City''s downtown music scene, Tamar-kali has played venues such as Joe''s Pub, CBGB, Tonic and NYU. Tamar-kali was also selected to receive a grant for New Works from Aaron Davis Hall and recognized as a contributor to the ever-continuing Harlem Renaissance by the Schomburg Center.
