Ask not what you can do for Tucker Booth, but what Tucker Booth can do for you. Or more specifically, to you. This is the question the hip-hop hobo urges throughout his third LP, Valet. Steal your Bentley, dent your Benz or violate narcotics law in your valet-ed Infinity G Sedan — Booth has this to offer and more, such as crippling you with crossover dribbles and turning your girl into a chronic masturbator.

Having transcended street vagrancy on Will Rap 4 Food to presidential candidate on his sophomore effort, Tucker Booth 4 President, the freestyle specialist taps his latest life experiences to furnish a tight wrap of new songs. And where life tames Tucker Booth long enough to suffer a valet job, Tucker tames his penchant for off-the-top long enough to compose a full disc of controlled flows.

“Fame is really fucked up and hard, but it’s a lifelong job,” Booth explains at the outset of “He’s Your #1”. He proceeds to expound via rainbow of thug flavors, cadences and rap styles that put Valet among the most versatile albums of the decade. Hooks from Jonathan Toth from Hoth add body to the work, as do choice contributions from Helias, Huggy Brown, Fletch and Intellect Emcee.

The album has much more to prove than TB4P and is heir to Will Rap 4 Food stylistically. Between baiting lines of bragadoccio, skits taunt at the race issues that plague St. Louis. As a package, the tight production, hooks, flows and backing vocals truly put Valet over the top — achieving Booth’s eternal quest. Answer the man: “Does any of this sound tempting?”

The third LP from the original hip-hop hobo marks a stylistic maturation with written flows and tight production. Valet features ubiquitous frozen labelmate Jonathan Toth from Hoth, St. Louis emcee Huggie Brown, Rhyme Commission''s Fletch, Intellect Emcee and production by EngLebuRt, Sam Glover, J-Toth, Kenautis Smith and Jay Money. Scratches by DJ Mahf and Helias, and more bass by Johnny O''Neill of Lojic.
