Details:
Thoth prayforms a unique art form called a solopera. The solopera is based upon metaphorical legends from the mythological world of the Festad - a land about which Thoth has been writing since a child. Drawing from every center of Thoth''s being, a solopera is part vocalizing, puzzle, aerobics routine, monolog, language deconstruction, alchemy, theater, healing ritual, sacred dance, all accompanied by solo violin and complex percussive rhythms.

Thoth has been prayforming his epic solopera, "THE HERMA:The Life and Land of Nular-in," daily at the Bethesda Terrace Arcade in New York City''s Central Park for three years. In addition, he has prayformed the solopera in many different places - Paris, Berlin, Chicago, Cologne, Prague, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Portland & Eugene, Porto, Montreal, Los Angeles... and in the San Francisco Bay Area for the AfroSolo ''99 Theater Festival, Z Space, Venue_9, Sweetwater, Freight & Salvage, Hotel Utah, Paradise Lounge. He has appeared on "The View" and the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

In 2001, award winning director Sarah Kernochan made a documentary about Thoth''s life and work which won the 2002 Academy Award for Documentary on a Short Subject. The film was premiered on HBO''s Cinemax in August 2002. On September 2002, he released his newest CD - the third and final act of his epic solopera "THE HERMA: The Life and Land of Nular-in."

Synopsis of "THE HERMA: The Life and Land of Nular-in, II"
translated from the Zilephs of Nular-in by Thoth:

(See Act I & II for the rest of the story)

"My adopted sister, Ami-dor, finds me unconscious and lovingly nurses me back to health.

Heeding the augury of a seer, Hu, I leave the underwater city on a giant sea turtle, Tobi, and seek out a mentor to teach me to know myself. I find my mentor, Caguma, in a mountain monastery called Eldar. Caguma is the flying Zentar who saved me and my mother in the desert a long time ago. She teaches me the esoteric traditions and riddles of the ancient monks (or Droshi) who lived in Eldar. Although, Caguma passes down to me the three sacred objects of self-mastery, she dies before telling me the ultimate mystery: the location of the Luva Pyramid."
